Known as the City of Seven Neighborhoods, San Luis Potosi is strategically located in Central Mexico in the state of San Luis Potosi, between Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey. It is Mexico's 10th largest city in size, with a metropolitan population of roughly 1,000,000. The city offers exciting tourism options as post- and pre-event activities, which include visits to well-preserved traditional villages, eco-tourism activities (hiking, camping, climbing, rappelling, lagoons), museum visits, diverse cultural and historical activities and sites. In recent years, San Luis Potosi has hosted the filming of several major cinematographic productions; many attribute this phenomenon to the state's wide variety of beautiful landscapes, unique architecture and authentic feel.

Founded in 1592, the city distinguishes itself by its stunning building facades and Baroque-style architecture, which are lit up at night. It is surrounded by areas of unparalleled natural splendor.
