Santorini, an island renowned the world over for its unspoiled beauty, is believed to be the most magical of all the Greek isles. The history of the island is shrouded in mystery; it is believed Santorini may actually have been cut off the lost island of Atlantis. In the village of Oia on Santorini you will find The Museum Spa Wellness Hotel, a charming and compelling place filled with its own special history. The great-grandfather of the present owner's family was a consul (when Oia was the prosperous capital of the island) who owned the most beautiful mansion in the village. He offered his hospitality to an array of kings (Othon and Amalia), officials and other celebrities. The mansion was seriously damaged during the 1956 earthquake. Later on, the building became a museum, which has recently been restored and turned into this unique hotel. All 7 suites and studios are fully equipped with generous amenities: air-conditioning, satellite TV, fully equipped kitchenette, safe-deposit box, telephone, and hair dryer. You can also savour the beautiful Santorini sunset view from the terraces of most of the suites and studios, as well as the picturesque panorama of Santorini and the volcanic islands from the upper studios.
