Sioux Falls Convention Center
One of the largest meeting facilities in the region, the Sioux Falls Convention Center features more than 100,000 square feet of flexible event space. The convention center accommodates up to 2,500 guests in such spaces as its 16,800-square-foot ballroom, 12 breakout rooms and 33,200-square-foot exhibit hall; the center's ballroom and exhibit hall connect to offer 50,000 square feet of contiguous column-free exhibit space. Facility amenities include on-site audio-visual, sound, catering and staging services, experienced event management staff, abundant prefunction space, outdoor event spaces and 3,400 free on-site parking spaces. The convention center is attached to the 8,000-seat Sioux Falls Arena and 243-room hotel via climate-controlled walkway, while the center is within a one-mile radius of more than 1,000 hotel rooms.
A NEW $115-million Event Center is scheduled for completion in the Fall of 2014. This new multi-purpose arena will be attached to the current Convention Center and 8,000-seat Arena, adding 30,000 square feet of flat floor space for a combined total of 132,000 contiguous square feet within the entire complex. Seating for the new facility will hold up to 13,000 for a general session, 180 standard booths for a trade show, 12,000 for basketball, 10,450 for hockey and 5,750 for rodeo.
