The celebrated character of this award-winning course is the extraordinary beauty that unfolds in harmony with the challenges of one of coastal Georgia's great courses. The course underwent an extensive restoration and renewal project in 2009. The resort turned to Billy Fuller as the course architect and Medalist Golf as the builder to create a truly great golf experience. Mr. Fuller, who has served as course superintendent for Augusta National, sought to enhance Joe Lee's original design. All 18 greens have mini-verde, ultra dwarf Bermuda grass, with 60" green collars planted with Tifsport Bermuda. All 18 fairways have Celebration Bermuda grass. The extraordinary practice facility includes a 6500 square foot mini-verde putting green, a 3000 square foot mini-verde chipping green, and five target greens.

Additional Information

The King and Prince Golf Course, originally designed by the renowned course architect Joe Lee, is on the site of what was once an 18th-century cotton plantation. The club’s layout brings ancient oaks, lakes, lagoons and tidal marshlands into view or play on virtually every hole. The Club’s four signature holes – along 800 feet of elevated cart bridges that span creek and marsh, are carved from small island’s off the plantations mainland. These holes, as well as the entire 6300 yard layout, have prompted praise from the nation’s most prestigious golf publications.
