Arakur Ushuaia Resort & Spa, member of The Leading Hotels of the World, opened its doors in July, 2014. It is located on a natural balcony 800 feet above sea level within the Cerro Alarkén nature reserve in Ushuaia, the southernmost city of the Argentine Patagonia. With more than 100 available rooms and suites, it offers privileged views of the city and of the Beagle Channel, with the leading-edge comfort technology. The lobby welcomes guests with its large windows, fireplaces and a sophisticated local décor, like aromatic woods and leather. It offers three swimming pools, including an in & out relax pool , with two hydrojets areas in the indoor section as well as two hot tubs in the outdoor deck. The fitness area offers treadmills, elliptical trainers, weight benches and dumbbells, overlooking the city. La Cravia restaurant, offers an international menu with a typical Argentine grill. Some of the delicacies guests can enjoy, are king crab, lamb and Patagonian seabass, among others. A wide range of drinks, local hand-brewed beers and Argentine wines together with cheese and Patagonian cold cuts platters await at the Lobby Bar. The hiking trails that go through the Cerro Alarkén nature reserve begin at its gates and guests can go hiking, at different levels, through the native forests, the peat fields, the Cerro Alarken’s summit and glaciers, among others.
