A popular suburb in Seminole County, 15 miles north of downtown Orlando, Winter Springs event venues are near major employers like Siemens, Lockheed Martin and the University of Central Florida. A tree-laden community, Winter Springs is bordered on the north by Lake Jesup and Spring Hammock Preserve.

Winter Springs is located 18 miles from Orlando International Airport, 7 miles from the Orlando Sanford International Airport, 22 miles from the Orange County Convention Center and 27 miles from Walt Disney World.

While hotel venues in Winter Springs are limited, there is a plethora of smaller, national chain properties in the nearby towns of Altamonte Springs, Longwood and Lake Mary. A couple of convenient options are the 253-room Westin Lake Mary, with 14,000 square feet of meeting space, and the 72-room Best Western Plus Sanford Airport with meeting space for up to 40 people.

There are some unique event venues in Winter Springs. At the Casselberry Commerce Village, the Gallery J offers an off-site venue oozing with art studio ambiance. The 1,500-square-foot event hall is dotted with artwork and other impressive amenities include a black baby grand player piano, 16-foot high brick walls, hardwood floors and an upstairs loft. The Winter Springs based KLW Events Group specializes in executing creative meetings and special events.

For groups who enjoy and value eco-activities, Winter Springs is ideally situated near Spring Hammock Preserve and 12 miles from the 7,000-acre Wekiva Springs State Park, where canoeing, kayaking, bicycling and hiking are popular pastimes. Golf enthusiasts can select from two Winter Springs options, Tuscawilla Golf Club and the Country Club of Deer Run.

Stonewood Grill & Tavern, a casually elegant restaurant with an innovative menu that includes entrees like Crab Crusted Mahi and Blackened Chicken Pasta and private dining rooms, is a group favorite. Other possibilities include Carrabba's Italian Grill and Yen Yen.
