» Capturing Equipment Data edrcRequirements Using ISO 15926 and Assessing Conformance (EDRC)
The results of this project will include improved methods and documentation for conformance specification and testing, leading software vendors to offer conforming implementations that will enable the industry to achieve “plug and play” interoperability—resulting in major cost and time savings for capital projects.

Future 76K» “Seeing the Future through Predictive Performance Indicators (PPI)” Released The dramatic growth in capital project size and complexity has underscored the need for process improvements, such as Advanced Work Packaging (AWP). Recognizing that KPIs and other methods lack the monitoring and control horsepower needed, Fiatech developed Predictive Performance Indicators.

HORIZON 360 TEAM

                                             
cover-strat-report2Fiatech is pleased to announce the implementation of the first deliverable from the Three-Year Strategic Plan—the creation of the Horizon 360 Team. The team’s work includes scanning and tracking game-changing and incremental technologies and processes from across the global economy.

Comprised of 12 members—six from academia and six from industry—the Horizon 360 Team and its efforts could transform the capital facilities industry and become part of future Fiatech projects. Current members include representatives from ExxonMobil, Zachry, Mott MacDonald, CCC, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Alberta, The University of Texas at Austin, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Arizona State University, and Fiatech Roadmap Element 7. This year 22 active projects have advanced, while two Communities of Interest and a special interest group have grown in size and impact. Of the projects highlighted above, three reached completion, one had a milestone delivery, and the fifth is a new, recently launched project. With so many opportunities to truly move the industry needle forward, we've made scanning through the active projects simple on the Fiatech website.
