It is once again that time of year to login to the AdvancED Web site and update the demographic information for your school or district.  To update your demographics, just click here to visit the AdvancED Web site, and then login with your e-mail address and password.  After logging in, place your mouse over the Accreditation tab, and click on Demographics Update.  If you have not logged into the Web site before or if you need assistance, please contact our office.

Essential Curriculum eLearning Courses Available

You're invited to register for any of our AdvancED Essential  Curriculum eLearning Courses.  The courses provide information on  the new AdvancED Standards, AdvancED Accreditation Protocol,  and the various components of ASSIST including Perception Surveys.  For your convenience, these courses are on-demand; available anytime, anywhere.  All you need is Internet access!  Registration is open for:

Volunteer to Serve

We have school level and district level Quality Assurance Review (QAR) visits scheduled for the 2011-2012 school year.  Please contact Karen Jordan at kjordan@advanc-ed.org if you are interested in volunteering to serve on a visit. 

Accreditation Progress Report 

The Accreditation Progress Report engages schools and districts in focused internal analysis of its actions and progress since their Quality Assurance Review visit.  In completing the report, the school/district reviews each recommendation, summarizes actions taken, describes how the actions and results were evaluated to determine success, and references the evidence that the school/district has gathered to support its fulfillment of the recommendation. The Accreditation Progress Report is a required component of the accreditation process and is submitted one or two years following the school/district QAR.  Although the report is required, it is a great tool for schools and districts to stay focused on their quest for school improvement.

AdvancED International Summit 2012 Registration

Registration for the AdvancED International Summit 2012 now is open.  The Summit will take place June 24-26, 2012 in Washington, D.C.  The agenda for the AdvancED International Summit 2012 also is available.  The agenda outlines the Summit from start to finish. With the Summit theme of Creating the Future: Accelerating Excellence, the event will engage state and national education leaders and policymakers in an exploration of strategies for designing effective learning systems for the future.  Attendees will:

• Hear innovative ideas and practices in education.
• Interact with colleagues and session leaders to share what's working, what's not and how to move forward.
• Build strategic partnerships that will expand their professional network.
• Be at the forefront of innovation and leadership in education.
