Creative Sundays Workshop: Present Day AmuletsSunday, March 11, 10am-3pmWe’ll study images and phrases in the ancient tradition of Jewish blessing amulets from North Africa and the Near East, and create our own using watercolor, collage and embossed tin. Santa Fe artist Lia Rosen is known for her custom Clay Kodesh (Sacred Vessels) that integrate ancient and contemporary Jewish ceremony with Southwestern aesthetics. CLICK to register.

Salon Night: To Bear Witness Part IIThursday, March 15, 5:30-7:30pmJoin us for a preview of the Generations: Survivor Stories collection, to be launched as part of the permanent exhibit on April 19. Generations digital stories are short documentaries of members of the community who survived the Shoah, along with their children and/or grandchildren. The Rare and Magnificent Moss Haggadah Viewing & LectureWednesday, March 28, 2:30-4pm at Temple EmanuelExperience the beauty of this exceptional work of art created in the medieval tradition of the illuminated manuscript. Rabbi Steven Foster will provide detailed insight into this awe-inspiring masterpiece. Moss Haggadahs are now out of print; the last copy sold for $35,000. No Way Out Performance and ReceptionA professional staged reading at Su TeatroSunday, April 1, 2pmAt the same time ordinary and extraordinary, No Way Out by Susan Shear documents a family’s struggle to survive and gives insight into the stories of thousands of Jews who attempted to flee Germany during the Nazi regime. Restorative Hatha YogaEnjoy a gentle, strengthening, restorative yoga class in the peaceful and inspiring setting of the Mizel Museum's exhibit. Classes are held on Wednesdays from 4:45-6:15pm. Price per class is $18; pay at the door.
Jewish Meditation with Rabbi Stephen Booth NadavSunday, March 25, 4:30-6pmMeditation is the practice of making ordinary moments sacred, or finding the sacred in the ordinary. Join Rabbi Steve to develop the skills of Jewish mindfulness including meditation instruction, chanting, walking, Torah and text study. All levels and backgrounds welcome.
