Country Highlight: Bahrain
|
|
Over the years, the Kingdom of Bahrain has established itself as a global pioneer to protect and enhance the advancement of women in the world. As a leader, it was the first country in the region, and only four years after the United States, to give women the right to vote (1924), to educate women (1928), to become ministers (2004) and judges (2006). In 2013, UNDP Gender Inequality Index placed Bahrain in the “very high human development” category.

the year. Although this space was heavily pre-leased, it played a key
role in increasing office vacancy in 2015. Asking rates held up through
most of the year, only dropping slightly in the fourth quarter.
