2013 Midwest Regional Conference

Midwestern Regional Conference
In less than four weeks, the Twin Cities IIA Chapter will host the Midwestern Regional Conference at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Minneapolis! From November 3-6, 2013, conference attendees will have the opportunity to receive up to 26.5 hours of NASBA CPE, depending on the combination of sessions selected, while they learn about a variety of topics from multiple speakers and network with fellow internal auditors. Read More...


Member Networks - Roundtables

The 2013-2014 Roundtable Calendar is currently being developed. Our plan is to have two roundtable sessions per month and our first set of roundtables are already in the process of being scheduled. The objective of the roundtables is to provide high quality opportunities for internal auditors to learn, network, share ideas and discuss current events and information. This year's roundtable events will continue to bring relevant information and insights and will focus on our goal of engaging more people. Read More...

Quality Assurance Review Standards

Standard 1312 of the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing calls for external assessments to be conducted at least once every five years by a qualified, independent reviewer or review team outside the organization. The IIA will be the global voice of the internal audit profession: advocating its values, promoting best practice, and providing exceptional service to its members. 

IIA Mission

The mission of The Institute of Internal Auditors is to provide dynamic leadership for the global profession of internal auditing.  Activities in support of this mission will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Advocating and promoting the value that internal audit professionals add to their organizations;
  • Providing comprehensive professional educational and development opportunities; standards and other professional practice guidance; and certification programs;
  • Researching, disseminating, and promoting to practitioners and stakeholders knowledge concerning internal auditing and its appropriate role in control, risk management, and governance;
  • Educating practitioners and other relevant audiences on best practices in internal auditing; and
  • Bringing together internal auditors from all countries to share information and experiences.
