Welcome
It's hard to believe we are heading into the final quarter for 2014 and will soon be heeding the shopping day countdown to Christmas!
A recent highlight for the Griffith University community was the outstanding performance of our students and alumni at at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Such was our dominance that at one stage, if we were our own country, we would have been fourth in the medal tally. We ended the Games with an impressive total including 10 gold, 5 silver and 7 bronze medals, edging out Jamaica to take 10th place in the overall rankings!
Our next round of events features Dr Charles Page sharing his beautiful photographic essay Memories in Place: The Centenary of WW1 and a presentation by Oxford University Associate Fellow Dr David Goldberg on drone technology and its use by the media.
A special welcome to our new members and I encourage you to provide your feedback at friends-library@griffith.edu.au.
I look forward to seeing all of our Friends at the next Friends of the Library event.
