Great Momentum Marks National Breastfeeding Month
 NICHQ leaders have joined the national conversation about breastfeeding. In an op-ed published in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, Karthi Streb, MPH, Director of Programs, and Marianne McPherson, Phd, MS, Director of Applied Research and Evaluation, discuss ways to “make the healthy choice the easy choice for moms everywhere.” Meanwhile, in NICHQ’s August Leadership Message, Streb reflects on what NICHQ is doing to “keep the national momentum going."

Promoting Healthy Weight and Avoiding Stigma in Rochester
 They were already emerging leaders in the field of obesity prevention, but participating in the Collaborate for Healthy Weight initiative was an opportunity for the team from Rochester, NY, to do something more. Working with providers in two health centers, they are teaching clinicians how to better communicate with kids and their families about obesity. Read their story.
