Florida Educators Receive AdvancED Awards
At the March meeting of the AdvancED Summit in Chicago, two Florida educators received national awards. Dr. Alvin G. White of Jacksonville received the AdvancED National Leadership Award, and Dr. Patricia Woodruff of Naples received the AdvancED Global Educator Award. Read more.

Dr. George M. Koonce, Jr. of Miami received the AdvancED Florida Excellence in Education Award for his work in continuously promoting and advancing excellence in education in the state of Florida and across the nation through his professional career and his extensive work with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI) and AdvancED. AdvancED Florida Summer Mini-Conference
AdvancED Florida Office is offering a Mini-Conference in Orlando for schools (June 20) and districts (June 21) that are due reviews in 2011-2012 and for people interested in becoming Quality Assurance Review (QAR) team members. Please note that schools and districts due to receive reviews in 2012-2013 will be using new standards. We will host workshops on the new process beginning this fall.
