SOUTH BEACH PSYCHIATRIC CENTER, NEW RESIDENTIAL BUILDING |

The Dormitory Authority State of New York (DASNY) will be soliciting bids for the construction of the South Beach Psychiatric Center, New Residential Building and related site work (the “Project”). The new five-story, 232,000 square foot, LEED- Silver building will incorporate the latest designs and methods for the prevention of property and infrastructure damage against storms and future climate change events. The Project’s construction costs are anticipated to be more than $170 million. The construction phase of the Project is expected to run from winter 2016 through winter 2019. The first bid package for the Project, Package 1 – Site Preparation, was advertised on September 22, 2015.
DASNY’s Opportunity Programs Group (“OPG”) will host two informational meetings to review the construction bid opportunities contained in bid packages 2 through 5 of the Project, which include the following work: Bid Package 2 – Piles and Foundations; Bid Package 3 – Structural Steel; Bid Package 4 – Windows (Furnish only); and Bid Package 5 – General Construction. |

DASNY’s web site has a feature that permits firms interested in sub-contracting and supplier opportunities to list their firms, which enables them to be identified to prime contractors bidding the Project and also provides information on plan purchase holders (name of the firm, contact information) to facilitate their interaction with MWBE sub-contractors/suppliers prior to bid due-date.
