Round 1 of speed networking!
On January 28, 2015 CREW Chicago started the New Year off right with a speed networking event held at East Bank Club. CREW members and nonmembers alike were able to mingle with the other commercial real estate professionals while enjoying hearty appetizers followed by one-on-one speed networking. The program ended on a sweet note with dessert and more open networking, so participants could loop back with their new connections, or just catch up with old friends.
Heritage Harbor Ottawa’s “Penguin Plunge” Raises Over $96,000 for Make-A-Wish® Illinois

During the 2015 Heritage Harbor Ottawa Penguin Plunge on Jan. 3, more than 280 participants jumped off the dock at Heritage Harbor to benefit Make-A-Wish® Illinois. “The Penguin Plungers” was one of more than 22 teams that participated.

Heritage Harbor Ottawa, a marina resort community in Starved Rock Country in Ottawa, Ill., announced its “Penguin Plunge” fundraiser for Make-A-Wish® Illinois raised $96,281, making the Jan. 3 event the top community-organized fundraising event for Make-A-Wish in Illinois. A check was presented to the organization during an “After the Plunge” celebration on Jan. 22, with the final tally of donations through the end of January announced Feb. 1.
