A look at product for all ages
Tuesday, 6-7th October 2015, Lucerne

The first afternoon session at this year's European Tourism Summit in the Alps in Lucerne, Switzerland will look at what is offered for, and sought by, different age groups in European destinations. Over 65s in the EU have the highest spending per capita on trips, while the global youth market is estimated to soon pass the $200bn mark in terms of global worth. In the family market there is a huge amount of scope, especially with emerging markets such as Brazil. All of this and more will be covered by a panel of experts and a Q&A session.

ETOA buyer members have until 14th September to take advantage of Lucerne and Switzerland Tourisms' offer of two nights' free accommodation and an 8 day Swiss Pass. Attendance is free for all ETOA members - for information and to register click here

If you are not an ETOA member yet but are interested in attending please contact Nick Greenfield.

Registrations are also still open for the River Cruising Seminar the following day on Wednesday 7th October. You can register for this in the same place.

Coach friendly?
Friday, 16th October 2015
ETOA has once again been voting on the jury for the City Trophy 2015, which is awarded to the destination deemed to be the most coach friendly. In the past cities such as Southport, Stockholm and Skopje have shown their worth but it is fair to say that there are cities which are at best lukewarm about accommodating coach tourism. With this in mind, this year's Busworld in Kortrijk, Belgium will see an IRU led debate on the image of coaches and coach tourism.
