ForwardNCCN Pharmacy Updates: Updates in Biomarker-Driven Therapy in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
The biomarker-driven treatment of non-small cell lung cancer is evolving rapidly and pharmacists should be aware of new data, therapies, and treatment recommendations in order to support the multidisciplinary health care team and provide optimal patient care. Pharmacists play a critical role in patient education, monitoring for adverse effects, and management of treatment-related toxicities and would benefit from a comprehensive review of the novel biomarker-driven treatments for non-small cell lung cancer.
Target Audience
This program is designed to meet the educational needs of pharmacists, physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other health care professionals who manage patients with cancer.
Learning Objectives
Following this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe the role of new biomarker-driven therapies in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
- Discuss key patient counseling and monitoring considerations for new targeted therapies for the treatment of NSCLC.
- Apply best practices to manage the adverse events associated with the new biomarker-driven therapies for NSCLC.

There is no minimum financial threshold. We ask for disclosure of ALL financial relationships with ineligible companies, regardless of the amount and regardless of the potential relevance of each relationship to the education.

The Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA) is accredited by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) as a provider of board certification oncology credit (BCOP). A BCOP statement of credit will be issued only upon completion of a post-activity evaluation form and post-test, with a passing grade of 75% achieved.
