40 Knots is one of the largest wineries on Vancouver Island, farming sustainably and using the best practices from organics, biodynamic and plant-based practices, on 24 stunning acres. We craft wines distinctly shaped by the ocean breeze and sun-soaked climate.
We are both family and dog friendly surrounded by gardens, lush grapevines and swallows soaring above. You can feel the ocean breeze and hear an occasional seal lion barking as you walk along our interpretive trail or while enjoying a tour of the vineyard.

This guides us in every step we take farming, cellar management, crush pad operation, our store, our delivery to the customer, and our promise to protect the environment. Our goal is to grow ultra-premium grapes on Vancouver Island.
Enjoy the convenience of having our wines delivered to your door. All of our wines are clean, vegan, gluten-free, and grown sustainably. We grow noble varieties and top hybrids. All wines are small batch and made with a hands off approach. Our winemaker knows that great wines are made in the vineyard.
