Focus School Report

All Focus Schools have been assigned the completion of the Focus School Report. This report will assist schools in determining the appropriate use of their Title I funds and, if necessary, the revision of their School Improvement Plan. Please note this report is due by November 30. Contact Karen Ruple if you have questions about this report.

School Improvement Reporting Requirements

A School-Level Reporting Matrix for Primary Education Providing Entities (PEPEs)* document is available. Schools that are PEPEs can use the document to determine which report the school is required to complete in ASSIST. Review the School-Level Reporting Matrix for detailed reporting requirements now.

*A PEPE is a school held accountable for the students it reports.

MDE Fall School Improvement Conferences - November 16-17, 2015

Join the Michigan Department of Education for the annual Fall School Improvement Conference. This year the producers of First Generation, a documentary that tells the story of four high school students who set out to break the cycle of poverty and bring hope to their families and communities by pursuing a college education, will be joining the conference. The producers will further the discussion of addressing effective practices educators can use to support our theme, The Faces of School Improvement. In addition to students from the documentary, the conference also will feature Michigan students, as well as practitioners, who will share their stories in breakout sessions. The conference will be held at the Lansing Center in Lansing, MI. For registration and more information, please visit the MIEM website.
