In an effort to streamline reports related to school improvement, the EdYES! Report for MDE schools has changed. You may have already noticed that the School Process Rubrics (SPR) 40 and 90 have been removed from the list of available diagnostics. The new School Systems Review (SSR) will replace the SPR 40/90 in the EdYES! Report. Schools will complete this diagnostic every year. This new diagnostic aligns with the updated School Improvement Framework 2.0. Similarly, the new District Systems Review (DSR) will replace the District Process Rubrics. Please note, as these are new diagnostics, you will be unable to copy information from the previous year.
Resources, including a process guide and templates, will be available on the MDE School Improvement website. In addition, Overview modules with information on the updated frameworks is available on Michigan Virtual University. The SSR and DSR will be due March 20, 2015 and April 17, 2015 respectively.

MDE is required to collect information on efforts that LEAs are conducting to implement Career and College-Ready Standards for Math and ELA. To meet this requirement, both schools and districts will be assigned the new Career and College-Ready Implementation Status Diagnostic. The new diagnostic is only three questions long, and the template will be available on the AdvancED website for your review prior to completion. The due date will align with the EdYES! due dates listed above.

Be on the lookout for the School Improvement Reporting Requirements memo in the next few weeks. This year the memo will be sent out as an eBlast from Dr. Venessa Keesler. In addition to providing information on the reporting requirements, it will provide directions on how to secure access if you have never been in ASSIST, and on getting into ASSIST once you have registered. If you are already registered in ASSIST, there will be no change.
As a reminder, the Reporting Due Dates postcard is available on the MDE School Improvement Support website.
