AdvancED Montana Fall Conference 2016

The AdvancED Montana Fall Conference is just around the corner. The conference is slated for September 26 and 27 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bozeman Montana. This is a new location from previous conferences.

There will be two preconference sessions; one session to prepare schools that will host External Reviews during the 2016-17 school year only (since the protocols will be changing for reviews, if you have a review during the 2017-18 school year or beyond, this preconference session will not apply to you).

The second preconference session will assist schools that recently have had an External Review and need to address their Improvement Priorities. We ask that schools bring their reports and are ready to dig into the data.

There will be a section on the new Standards and Protocols that AdvancED is launching as well as information on the Effective Learning Environments Observation Tool® (eleot®) app, and AdvancED STEM Certification.

On Monday evening, Montana State University will be hosting a reception for all attendees.
On Tuesday morning, we will have an Awards Breakfast sponsored by the University of Montana. During the Awards Breakfast, those schools that received accreditation during the 2015-16 school year will be recognized. In addition, the Montana Schools Best Practices Showcase will be held in which schools and school systems will share their powerful practices (as recognized by AdvancED External Review Teams) in breakout sessions. The Office of Public Instruction (OPI) renewal units will be granted and the event will end at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday the September 27. 

Look for an invitation email to register for the conference. The conference is not just for schools that are AdvancED accredited; it is for schools or systems looking to engage in a dynamic researched-based continuous improvement process!
