AdvancED officially celebrated its 10th anniversary on April 2. On this day in 2006, the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement’s (NCA CASI) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement’s (SACS CASI) historic action to create AdvancED marked the beginning of the modern era of accreditation. Forming AdvancED provided the education community with a trusted partner and global leader in accreditation and school improvement dedicated to helping institutions in their pursuit to improve student learning. 

In commemoration of our 10-year anniversary, AdvancED recently launched a History page on the AdvancED website under the About Us section. The History page chronicles significant milestones throughout the 10-year history of AdvancED and acts as a great source of information about the work we do. Please feel free to mark this special occasion by taking a look back at what AdvancED, with the support of our institutions, partners and volunteers, has accomplished over the past 10 years.
