Excellence in Education Winner
Shelly Gardner, a sixth-grade Language Arts teacher at Woodrow Wilson Middle School in Terre Haute, has been selected as the 2016 Excellence in Education Award recipient. Gardner is described as a “dedicated and innovative teacher who has the interest of all children at heart. Her classroom is exciting, and provides a trusted learning environment for children.” Gardner will be honored at the AdvancED Indiana Fall Conference on September 12.
Every year, AdvancED seeks nominees for the Excellence in Education Award, which is designed to celebrate an individual’s significant contributions to the profession, their lasting impact on student learning and their vision of high expectations for students, colleagues and the education community.
