The 2019 School Improvement Reporting Tasks are now assigned in ASSIST™. Lead administrators and head of institutions received a memorandum from the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) outlining the reporting requirements for the 2019 reporting cycle.

School Improvement Support Unit (SIS)

The MDE School Improvement Support Unit provides technical assistance and support for ASSIST users. For detailed instructions on submitting reports, please see the Resources section of the AdvancED/MDE website. Note that there are tabs for Schools, Districts, Quick Guides along with additional information. Please contact our office if you need further assistance.

Michigan Integrated Continuous Improvement Process (MICIP)

MDE is moving forward to integrate and streamline the school and district reporting process with an emphasis on the "whole child". MDE is working with stakeholders to move toward the Michigan Integrated Continuous Improvement Process (MICIP), which combines a whole-child district needs assessment with high-quality continuous improvement planning and support for a more integrated approach to securing grant funding.  The MDE will be rolling out more information regarding MICIP in the coming months.

All districts in Michigan are on a continuous improvement pathway that supports a district’s needs with data, funding, tools, and differentiated supports to improve whole child outcomes.
