Districts and schools that have new administrators for the 2016-2017 school year need to ensure that the Education Entity Master (EEM) is updated. Administrator names are updated in ASSIST™ via the EEM. Users who need assistance with the EEM should contact the Center for Educational Performance and Information (CEPI) at CEPI@michigan.gov.

September is a good time to hold your first School Improvement Plan meeting. Be sure to discuss goals and plans with new staff and review with returning staff.

Schools that desire to move from Targeted Assistance to Schoolwide will no longer have access to funds to hire a consultant to lead them through the process. Schools also are no longer required to hire a facilitator from the MDE facilitator list. However, schools may request the change and complete the process by contacting their Field Services Representative for details.
