Milken Institute experts are in demand worldwideExpertise from the Institute is in demand around the world, as a glance at the travel schedules of senior staff will demonstrate. This month, FasterCures' Margaret Anderson addressed leaders of the biotechnology community at CALBIO2015 in San Francisco, exploring the importance of patient input in the R&D decision-making process. Last month, Melissa Stevens of FasterCures offered policy recommendations on dementia at the World Innovation Summit for Health in Doha, Qatar, while Staci Warden of the Center for Financial Markets journeyed to Rwanda to keynote the Capital Markets East Africa International Conference. In January, the Milken Institute's Ross DeVol keynoted the Site Selectors Guild annual meeting in San Juan, Puerto Rico, sharing insights from our work in regional economic development. And Paul Irving, of the Center for the Future of Aging, spoke on "Beneficial Purpose and the New Culture of Aging" at a recent Echoing Green conference in New York. When it comes to empowering people with ideas, these and other Institute experts are making a difference.

Mike Milken receives the Gordon and Llura Gund Leadership Award from Research!America Institute Chairman Michael Milken was honored to receive the Gordon and Llura Gund Leadership Award from Research!America on March 11. This award recognizes his four-decade commitment to the advancement of science and continued investment in research.
