Enterprise Florida Expands Virtual Business Matchmaking Assistance to Japan and Taiwan
Enterprise Florida is pleased to introduce Virtual Business Matchmaking (VBM) in Japan and Taiwan to help companies extend their global footprint to untapped markets.
Japan - The Best Destination for Hi-Tech Companies
Japan is the 5th ranked trading partner for the U.S., with total two-way trade reaching $7.7 billion U.S. dollars in 2019. Japan is the most attractive market for high-tech companies supplying components, devices, equipment and software to advanced engineering sectors such as automotive, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, robotics, medical devices, aerospace, marine, electronics, etc.
Taiwan - A Springboard to Southeast Asia
Ranked as the 9th-largest trading partner for the U.S., Taiwan's total, two-way trade was valued at $87 billion U.S. dollars in 2019. Leading sectors for U.S. exports include pollution control equipment, pleasure boats, medical equipment, electric power equipment and telecom equipment. Taiwan is also an attractive destination for companies seeking joint ventures and licensing partners.
Services includes one-on-one introductions via teleconference or videoconference with up to five pre-screened and pre-qualified agents, distributors, or partners in your company’s target markets. Enterprise Florida is offering a reimbursable trade grant to cover the cost of the matchmaker, making the service completely free.
Enterprise Florida’s international representatives currently offer Virtual Business Matchmaking in the following countries, with additional markets being added later this year.
- Europe: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom
- Americas: Canada and Mexico
- Africa: South Africa, Kenya and Tanzania
Similar services are offered in additional markets through Enterprise Florida’s partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service. To learn more about the program and how to apply for the trade grant, please contact your local Enterprise Florida trade representative.

Americas Business e-Meetings: Regional B2B - (New)

In partnership with AmCham Mexico, Enterprise Florida invites Florida companies to participate in the second edition of the Americas Business e-Meetings: Regional B2B. This is a regional virtual business matchmaking and networking event designed to strengthen regional trade and investment as a response to the economic impact of COVID-19.
The event will take place in two stages:
- September 14 - 25, 2020 - Find suppliers and/or buyers and schedule virtual meetings
- September 29 - October 1, 2020 - Virtual Meetings
Enterprise Florida is offering Virtual Business Matchmaker Grants to qualified companies that will cover the cost of the business matchmaking service, up to $1,200.
