Higher Things Conferences

We at Higher Things want to wish you a blessed Good Friday. While we remember Christ's rest in the tomb, our cry is never far off: He is Risen! Alleluia! 

Day passes will be available soon! First, some registration information. Read on to find out more!

Registration Reminders

The registration deadline is April 30th, 2019. All registration balances that are not paid in full by that date will have a $25.00 late fee applied to them ($425.00 total).

Beginning on May 1st, all substitutions will incur a $25.00 change fee. Also, there will no longer be refunds given for cancellations or individuals who do not check in at the conference. 

Groups are allowed to stay in the same rooms they will be in during the conference the night before and/or the night after the conference for a charge of $50.00 per person. You may also request private rooms for an additional charge, contingent on availability).

Please have all of the following completed on your registrations by April 30th: private rooms, additional days, t-shirt sizes, roommate requests, music requests, special dietary needs, etc. You will not be able to make changes to your registration without going through Higher Things staff beginning on May 1st.

HTFAD

Do you know someone who has been wanting to see what a Higher Things Conference is all about, but they aren't able to get away for a whole week? Higher Things For A Day (HTFAD) will be available for four* of the Concordia HT conferences this summer! A $65/day/person registration fee includes conference materials, a T-shirt (1 per person), meals, and admission to all conference programming and events scheduled for that day — including evening entertainment activities. 

HTFAD registrations are now open to all four days of the conference week! You are not limited to just two day passes per week this year! 

Youth under age 18 are certainly welcome to visit a conference, but must be accompanied by a chaperone. 

Please notify Cyndy Bishop (registrar@higherthings.org) once you’re done registering. Details regarding check-in, registration, and parking will be provided close to the conference.

Background checks are NOT required for HTFAD participants. Registration for HTFAD opens May 1st! 

*Because the Concordia conference at Concordia University, Seward, NE has reached capacity and is on a wait list, we aren’t able to accept HTFAD registrants there.

“Concordia.” It literally means “with one heart” in Latin. The Church is unified around the confession of Jesus as our Lord and Savior like a congregation singing together in many different parts but singing the same song together in perfect harmony.

Concordia isn’t just a feeling that we are one. It’s not only something that we strive to have. We don’t sacrifice what we believe in order to be unified. True Concord is always centered around the confession of Christ and Him crucified!

God speaks. We receive His words into our ears. He gives our tongues the words to say to Him and to those around us. We repeat, together, His Words back to Him. We sing them, we confess them, all agreeing together, “with one heart and voice” our confession of Jesus!

In a world where youth are tempted to compromise, Higher Things is excited to plan our 2019 Conferences centered on the theme of the Church and Unity.
