ACTE Global Executive Director to Transition Out of Role
Organisation Announces Search Committee for Mr. Koch’s Successor

(Alexandria, VA – 8 January 2019) – ACTE Global (Association of Corporate Travel Executives) announced today that its executive director, Greeley Koch, will be stepping down, effective 22 March 2019.

"We have been very fortunate to have someone like Greeley leading ACTE into the next generation of our association’s work, growth and education,” ACTE President Leigh Bochicchio said. “Under Greeley’s leadership as executive director, ACTE has accomplished a great deal, including the recent investment in and expansion of the ACTE Research division, along with the launch of several new global initiatives, which have energised our membership and sponsor base."

Mr. Koch joined ACTE as a member in 1998 and has served as executive director since 2012. He also served in a variety of volunteer roles, including as chairman of the ACTE Global Centre from 2008 to 2010, and as the organisation’s president from 2004 to 2007. Throughout his tenure at ACTE, Mr. Koch has focused on reinventing ACTE as a global powerhouse in the corporate travel industry and a forward-thinking, research-driven organisation. Under his leadership, ACTE has achieved numerous milestones, from advancing research into the modern business traveller’s psychology to positioning the organisation at the forefront of the most pressing issues affecting the industry, driving record attendance at ACTE’s global events.

"After 20 years of ACTE membership — three years as ACTE president and six years as executive director — I am moving on to pursue another path in the business travel sector. Of all the things this association has accomplished, I am proudest that ACTE has made business travel personal and put a face on our global membership. I have travelled many miles and have met thousands of ACTE members since 2012. They spoke; we listened; ACTE implemented. That is the legacy of a winning association," Koch said.

ACTE has a strong global team in place who, together with the Board, continue to advance its strategic vision and deliver innovative programmes to the industry. Key recent hires have included Fitzgerald Draper as research director and Victoria Priola as senior director of global business development, both of whom play key roles in enhancing ACTE’s ability to connect travel buyers and suppliers through in-person dialogue and cutting-edge research.

Bochicchio also announced that ACTE is actively searching for its next executive director, with its Executive Committee leading the search process for Mr. Koch’s successor. Information about the position and selection process will be available on the ACTE website, as well as several non-profit job boards. ACTE will finalize its decision and share an announcement with its members and the public.

Bochicchio added: "Every change brings new opportunity. ACTE looks forward to a new chapter and sees a continued bright future for the association and for our industry. We anticipate a seamless transition and know that ACTE’s next executive director will have a strong platform from which to continue leading our organisation."
