  This is a final call for the Greater Triangle Chapter of IFMA's January 10th meeting featuring a Chapter Update and Presentation from the IFMA Foundation on Making FM the Career of Choice on Wednesday, January 10th at 11:30AM at the
Mayton Inn, 301 S Academy Street in downtown Cary.

IFMA Foundation Speaker:  Jeffery J. Tafel, CAE Bio

Description:  The FM profession is facing a talent gap with more practitioners exiting the profession (primarily by retirement) than those choosing FM as their chosen profession.  The IFMA Foundation is focused on educating all about the FM profession and ensuring the necessary education is in place to bring as many trained and educated FM’s into the profession as possible.  Learn up-to-the-minute details on the Foundation’s “Global Workforce Initiative” and how Chapters can get involved with high school and community college outreach and exactly what is needed to make FM a Career of Choice in the Greater Triangle region and the state of North Carolina.  Jeff will present on the successes in the Foundation regional pilot locations and how the Foundation supports FM workforce development volunteers.

Save the Date for the Greater Triangle Chapter of IFMA's March 14th luncheon at 11:30AM at Embassy Suites, 201 Harrison Oaks Boulevard, Cary, NC on the Roadmap to Leadership.

TITLE: The FM Compass:  Roadmap to Leadership

DESCRIPTION: The FM Professional of the Future is a leadership based FM who is a part of the ownership's C-Suite, who speaks the language of the owner, and who can dramatically increase value.  The FM of the Future must operate in an environment of automation, information systems, and high performance.  The FM Professional will have to be able to identify and utilize the expertise of the FM associates.  All stakeholders will create transparency, use the language of metrics, and minimize the humanistic concepts of decision making and control of others.  This "FM of the Future" model has been tested for the past 25 years with very high performance.  The FM of the Future also includes the ability to increase the value and quality of life for all stakeholders.  It also is a portal to the next generation FMs who do not have the time or experience of the FMs of today.
