for New Town Clerks
Free Trial
The WMCA Board of Directors voted to offer a 2018 membership for all town clerks that have never belonged to the WMCA before.  Join the WMCA for a year and let us show you how we can help you be the best clerk you can be.
WMCA turns good Clerks into GREAT Clerks! Members attend cutting edge education specialized for municipal government, plus have access to an experienced support network for continuous growth and knowledge of the newest trends and law changes pertinent to your municipality’s success.

New to the Clerk's Profession:

Besides our excellent educational opportunities, we can help new clerks with the following:

Adopt-A-Clerk Program - We match new clerks with a seasoned clerk from the same type and size municipality. Call on them when you have a question.

The Clerk’s Listserv - (E-mail network) - an invaluable tool for communicating with over 600 other WMCA clerks instantly. A place to ask questions and get quick answers.

Among Our Other Membership Benefits:

Superior Clerk Education – Multi-day conferences, one-day educational events throughout the year, and we partner with the UW-GB Clerks Institute.

Scholarships – The WMCA awards over S20,000 a year in scholarships to its members to attend the Institute and our educational opportunities.

State Certification – Attaining our certification signifies that your Clerk has attended more than 175 hours of education and has the years of experience needed to be the best Clerk he or she can be.

Congratulations to

IIMC Certified Members!

 Applause

Two more WMCA members have received their IIMC-CMC certification in the last month!

Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC)
The following individuals have earned the prestigious Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC):

Jilline Dobratz, CMC - Deputy Clerk - Village of Fox Point, WI.

Kelly A. Meyer, CMC - Village Clerk/Treasurer - Village of Fox Point, WI.

The CMC designation program is designed to enhance the job performance of the Clerk in small and large municipalities. To earn the CMC designation, a Municipal Clerk must attend extensive education programs. The designation also requires pertinent experience in a municipality. The program prepares the participants to meet the challenges of the complex role of the municipal clerks by providing them with quality education in partnership with 47 institutions of higher learning. The program has been in existence since 1970 and has helped thousands of clerks in various municipalities.

For more information please visit the IIMC website or contact us at hq@iimc.com or 909-944-4162.

 Congratulations to the Latest

WMCA Certification -

She Grandfathered In!

 WCMC pin
Did you know that there is a grandfathering process to receive your WCMC or WCPC Certification if you already have a CMC or MMC Certification with IIMC?  The following WMCA member qualified this month for a WCMC certification through the grandfathering process.  Congratulations to:

Catherine A. Roeske WCMC/CMC, Clerk in the City of Oak Creek

If you hold an IIMC Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) certification you qualify for a Wisconsin Certified Professional Clerk (WCPC) certification.  Likewise if you already have an IIMC-Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) certification you qualify for the Wisconsin Certified Municipal Clerk (WCMC) Certification, under our grandfathering rules. The Certification Committee processes grandfather applications as they receive them.  You do not have to wait for March or October deadlines.  You can check out the applications on the Certification page on the WMCA website.  Look at the last paragraphs under the WCMC or the WCPC.
