April 21, 2020
The last several weeks have been challenging for most of us,
whether at work or at home. I hope you and your families are faring okay and
staying sane! Having been at home for the last five weeks, I am anxious to get
out of the house and see my family and friends, get back to work and visit my
favorite restaurants or coffee shop.
Your MPIMP board has been hard at work adapting our programs
to our new reality of virtual meetings and communicating mostly via email or
Zoom sessions. Our Education and Special Events committees have planned a
number of educational and social events that will get us all back together
again, even if just through our computer screens or phones.
I encourage you to sign up for the April 29 webinar that was
originally going to be our May 6 meeting education session. We also have a new
offering in our Brown Bag Lunch Roundtable series and a number of virtual happy
hours featuring our sponsors. Dates and information on all of these events are
on our website, www.mpi.org/chapters/middle-pennsylvania, and in this
newsletter. Registration for all of these events is complimentary for both
members and non members so spread the word!
Thank you to all of our MPIMP sponsors for continuing to
support our chapter. We truly appreciate you!
As a further update on future events, we are still planning
to reschedule the scholarship fund bowling event from March sometime this year.
The Special Events committee will also be looking at our year end event and
decide when and where that event will be held. Lastly, the 2021 board of
directors will be holding a virtual retreat on May 14 to discuss plans for the
next twelve months.
I look forward to seeing you at one of our many virtual
events and in person as soon as possible. It’s going to be a huge celebration
when we can all get together again! In the meantime, please stay safe and
healthy!
