Dear Librarian,
We have just released a suite of IMF eLibrary tutorial videos on YouTube. The same videos will also be available on the eLibrary under the Help tab.
Following is a list of the new videos with links to them on YouTube:
We hope these videos and future ones will help you and your library
patrons navigate the eLibrary and learn more about the richness of the portal
both in terms of content and functionality. The first three videos on this list
will help jumpstart your eLibrary experience with a general overview, logging
in, and setting up your own personalized space. From there you will have access
to special capabilities such as creating custom books and setting and reviewing
your citation alerts. Suggested Links and the Topic and Country Microsites are
features where key information has been reviewed by IMF subject matter experts
and presented so that the most relevant material available is surfaced
immediately for your use. Microsites also include supplemental and support
information along with key links that will help the user understand more fully
the material available. We will continue to blend data and content to better
tell the story around each topic or country and to provide robust results that
will support research efforts.
We are especially proud of the new citations feature. The IMF has
partnered with Crossref a leading registrar of scholarly material. Through this partnership, the IMF is
able to provide information on publications that have cited IMF content as well
as link back to publications that have been cited from within these IMF
publications. This will help researchers to trace citations back to the source
used and view these publications in detail at the original site. You can now
place an alert on an IMF publication to be informed whenever the publication is
cited. This is just one of many tools and content enhancements that we have
introduced and we will continue to provide additional tools on a regular basis.
If you found a particular video helpful, please consider logging onto YouTube to “Like” the video.
Thank you for your continued support.
