Communicating with Someone Who is Deaf is Easier Than You Think!
by Hannah Hayes, Inclusion & Diversity Committee

September is Deaf Awareness Month; so as we celebrate this beautiful culture, consider how you interact with any Deaf people in your life or workplace. We are used to using spoken languages like English every single day to talk to our colleagues, friends, and strangers on the street. But have you ever thought about how you would speak to someone who cannot hear but uses a sign language? You may feel uncomfortable interacting with them because their culture and background are different than yours; but don't let that stop you! Whether it's using gestures, writing it down, or learning some sign language yourself, find a way to be inclusive. This blog article brought to you by MT & Associates | Sign Language Interpreting provides tips for interacting with someone who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Read More - Deaf Coworker Interactions

Here's a topic on which thinkers and feelers can both agree: doing the right thing in both dollars and values. Click here to read more.
