U.S. Trade and Development Agency

  In conjunction with the Leaders Summit on Climate, President Joseph R. Biden Jr. launched the U.S. Trade and Development Agency’s Global Partnership for Climate-Smart Infrastructure – an initiative with U.S. industry and government partners that will deliver clean energy and transportation solutions to emerging markets around the world.
President Biden announced the partnership during a keynote speech on the broad economic benefits of climate action and the importance of ensuring that all communities and workers benefit from the transition to a clean energy economy.

U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC)

DFC   DFC announced a rolling Call for Applications from private equity, growth capital, infrastructure, and venture capital fund managers seeking DFC investment for funds targeting climate mitigation, adaptation, and solutions.
In support of President Biden’s Executive Order on Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad and the administration’s Leaders Summit on Climate, the Call for Applications is one of the new climate and climate-focused investment initiatives the agency is pursuing to help developing countries reduce emissions, increase renewable energy usage, protect ecosystems, and enhance resilience.

Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM)

  In conjunction with President Biden’s Leaders Summit on Climate, EXIM announced the establishment of a Chair’s Council on Climate as a subcommittee of the agency’s Advisory Committee. This new subcommittee will advise on how to better support U.S. exporters and American jobs in clean energy.
EXIM aims to consider this advice as it continues to strive towards meeting its congressional mandates to support and promote environmentally beneficial, renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy storage U.S. exports.

DFC   DFC announced a Call for Applications from private companies seeking financing for distributed renewable energy (DRE)-related investments. Climate change and lack of reliable energy access both impact economic growth and livelihoods in developing countries around the world, and investments in DRE offer an opportunity to address both of these pressing problems.
In support of President Biden’s Executive Order on Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad and the administration’s Leaders Summit on Climate starting on April 22, the Call for Applications is another new climate and climate-focused investment initiative the agency is pursuing to help developing countries reduce emissions, increase renewable energy usage, protect ecosystems, and enhance resilience.

He also highlighted the most pertinent topics the next Davos Summit will tackle. The discussion was informative, topical, and well-received by program attendees. The event was moderated by Mr. Bobby Tudor, Partner at Perella Weinberg Partners and Chairman of Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co.z
