Q&A with Interim Dean Mitchell
Dr. Roland Mitchell, interim Dean of the College of Human Sciences & Education, officially began his term on June 18, 2018. He assumes the role of dean and E.B. “Ted” Robert Endowed Professor, following Dean Damon Andrew’s transition to Dean of the College of Education at his alma mater, Florida State University.
We wanted to know…what is Dr. Mitchell like outside of the office or classroom? We sat down with him to talk work, passions, family, and fun.

School of Library & Information Science Alumna, Allie Stevens, Named 2018 Mover & Shaker
Allie Stevens, a 2015 SLIS graduate, was named a Mover & Shaker Community Builder by the editors of the Library Journal in March. Stevens moved back home to Hampton, Arkansas, shortly after graduating to become the director of the Calhoun County Library.

Dr. T Elon Dancy, a School of Education Alumnus, has been selected Director of the Center for Urban Education in the School of Education at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Dancy graduated from LSU in 2008 with a PhD in Educational Leadership & Research: Higher Education Administration.
