Welcome to March, HRMA Members! Our 75th anniversary year continued its strong start with the Annual Legal Update last month. A special thank you to all of our volunteers for putting together such a great event. With all the current and pending legislative changes on both a state and federal level we hope that the legal update helped get you up to speed! Click here to read more.
  
March 15th Breakfast Meeting - What's Age Got to Do With It? Effectively Managing a Multigenerational Workforce
On Wednesday, March 15th, when Amy Leslie, CEO of Perspective Consulting will explore the following questions:
  • How do I manage a multigenerational workforce?
  • How does the era and environment in which we grow up shape our beliefs and values?
  • How do we create a workplace for everyone, but manage and motivate individuals?

This session has been approved for 1.25 hours of HR (General) HRCI Credit, and is eligible for 1.25 hours of SHRM Certification Credit.

HRMA will be using LinkedIn as an additional communication channel to share relevant articles, tips, and upcoming events. Please like and share our posts to help spread awareness of HRMA.

Sign-up to be a Mentor or Protégé
Don't miss your opportunity to be a Mentor or Protégé. Applications are due by Friday, March 24th. Mentoring is a great way to get an outsider's perspective on your current role and your overall career path in HR. Mentors enjoy the opportunity to give back to the profession and to HRMA, especially those who had their own mentors (formally or informally). HRMA Launches New Website
If you've registered for the upcoming meeting, then you've seen HRMA's new website. This initial launch of the site contains all of the essential information migrated from the old website, and we will continually be adding new, useful content and updates to make it even better. Stand Down & Welcome Home 2017
On April 7 and 8, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the VA St. Louis Health Care System is looking for volunteers to provide veterans with resumes and career assistance at St. Louis Community College-Forest Park. This event recognizes Veterans and their families, Wounded Warriors and Gold Star families and provides them with practical career and job search advice. For more information, please click here.
