October newsletter 10_23

October 2023 Newsletter

Embracing the rich and vibrant hues of autumn, we have prepared for you an ambitious and exciting offer of knowledge and networking for this year’s final quarter. Our mission is steadfast and clear: creating opportunities and empowering members to forge connections, network, and stay updated and informed through engagement with our diverse community, industry experts, and business leaders. From intimate dinners to grand panel discussions, our Switzerland and UK event calendar caters to every interest.

Just next week, the Greater Zurich Area will deliver a flagship event on de-globalisation. Hosted by our President, Dame Inga Beale, and Group Chief Economist at Swiss Re, Jerome Jean Haegeli, this intriguing topic will be explored on 25 October by a distinguished panel, bridging corporate and academic expertise.

This autumn season also heralds a series of exclusive gatherings for insightful discussions with prominent diplomats and parliamentarians. Two Ambassador's Dinners in Berne, the Public Affairs Commission Dinner at Westminster, a Business Luncheon in Geneva, and the Ambassador's Christmas Reception, just to name a few. Do not miss the opportunity to connect with our Honorary Presidents, HMA James Squire, the British Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, and HE Markus Leitner, the Swiss Ambassador to the UK, at these prestigious events.

Several of our upcoming events will prominently feature financial services and investment opportunities. On 9 November in Geneva, we will shine a spotlight on nature-based investments, addressing the hot issues of biodiversity degradation and climate change reversal. Later in November, we will bring small- and mid-cap capital markets to London and converge the Swiss delegation of our esteemed members and partners with the UK audience.

Engaging our cross-sector life sciences community, the Basel chapter revives the highly anticipated New Frontiers in Healthcare conference on November 15, showcasing exciting innovations in diagnostics, therapies, and healthcare delivery models, setting new standards in patient care and global health research.

The BSCC invites you to embrace this season of engagement and collaboration and seize the opportunities we offer for knowledge, networking, and progress. Stay connected with us, follow us on social media and visit our website to access the full events calendar.

Finally, thank you for being a part of our dynamic community. We look forward to spend time connecting with you in the closing months of 2023!

 Best regards,

 BSCC Team

This service is available from just 3000 miles on all travel classes and international routes. The air fare is calculated based on the total ticket price, including taxes, fees, and surcharges. Of course, the attractive flight awards in the Miles & More programmes remain available.

Cash & Miles is an additional option for redeeming miles. Best of all, you earn new miles on every flight.

How does Cash & Miles work?

1. Login with your Miles & More account on swiss.com

2. Choose your desired flight on the booking screen.

3. Decide how many miles you would like to redeem.

4. Complete the transaction securely.
