As this is my first communications as Chapter President. I want to thank everyone who has put faith in my abilities to guide our chapter over the next 2 years. I feel honored to have received your vote of confidence and look forward to providing the Chapter with the best possible guidance and direction I can drawing from my 18 years of experience with ISACA and my 40+ years of experience in the security and audit communities.
One of the areas I wish to focus and advance our Chapter support for is the advancement and mentoring of Young Professionals looking to join and advance in our Audit Profession. We have a wide range of potential programs, topic leaders, and professionals who can assist various groups, individuals and organizations with support efforts. Please contact Board member - Chris Ellenburg up in Spartanburg or Board member - Ross Barber (himself a YP) in Columbia for assistance and ideas to help
the young professionals as they start their career in Audit, Cyber Security and/or Compliance.
We will continue our Chapter’s long-standing tradition of holding ongoing, CPE based, training events on a frequent basis as we continue our steady growth as a Chapter. This tradition has provided many interesting and positive experiences for all who have attended over the years. Stay tuned via our newsletter, website calendar, and periodic mailouts announcements.
I look forward to assisting and advancing our Chapter into the future of cyber, auditing, and the general technical and professional communities around the state.
