February 17th Annual Legal Update
Always one of the most popular programs of the year, the HRMA Annual Legal Update will begin with Ray McCarty of Associated Industries of Missouri and Errin Braddock of Enterprise Holdings giving the keynote presentations. Afterwards, members will have the opportunity to break into roundtables headed by a local employment law attorney. The tables will rotate after a 30-minute presentation on a variety of legal topics. Members will be able to hear a total of three different topics of their choice.

Mr. McCarty will provide us with a comprehensive update on the current Missouri legislative session, focusing on the human resources and employment related bills.

This presentation will focus on the importance of relationship development and creating synergies so that HR is an interwoven aspect of the entire business structure.

HRMA Spring 2016 Mentoring Program
For the last seven years, we have had both spring and autumn launches for our program, each time creating mentoring partnerships focused on helping HR professionals grow their careers. While the formal program is for 12 months, we have had several partnerships go on longer, with one mentor saying, "It's fulfilling to share my knowledge and experience with someone who is so enthusiastic about learning... HRMA Young Professionals: Kick-Off Happy Hour & Speed Networking
Calling all HRMA Young Professionals! HRMA's newly-founded sub-group, HRMA Young Professionals (HRMA-YP), is hosting its inaugural kick-off happy hour at 6:00 p.m. on March 31, 2016 at Blue Sky Tower Grill in Brentwood. The goal of HRMA-YP is to connect those with similar interests and experiences through additional opportunities that complement the wonderful HRMA programming that currently exists. Many Young Professionals have fewer than 10 years of experience in the HR field or are under 40 years of age, but we welcome all who consider themselves a young professional to join us. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us on March 31st to enjoy food, drinks, and a round of speed networking to get to know your HRMA-YP colleagues! We will also discuss HRMA-YP events to look forward to in the future. Keep an eye on your inbox for more information!
