About the Editors

 

Gaston Gelos is a Division Chief in the IMF’s Monetary and Capital Markets Affairs Department. He has held a variety of positions at the Fund, including mission chief for Nicaragua and Uruguay and Resident Representative to Argentina and Uruguay.

 

Alejandro Werner is Director of the Western Hemisphere Department of the International Monetary Fund. Most recently, he served as Undersecretary of Finance and Public Credit of Mexico, was Director of economic studies at Banco de Mexico and Head of Corporate and Investment Banking at BBVA-Bancomer.
