This summer marks the 10 year anniversary of Jack's Place, a cancer caring house at Shaw Cancer Center. In the 1990's, Dr. Jack Eck saw an increase in cancer among his patients. Not having the proper facility to care for them, he had to send them to Denver for treatment. read more

Heart of the Rockies is Expanding |
The Salida Hospital District Board unanimously passed a resolution at a special board meeting on June 16th authorizing construction of a new medical office building on the main campus of Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center. The Board also approved expansion of the existing laboratory and construction of new staff parking lots as well as internal roads to access those lots. The drawings for the 48,000 square foot expansion were presented at the meeting. read more
