8th National Housing Conference e-update
Hi ExampleContactFirstName

8 April 2013

Welcome to the first e‑update for this year's National Housing Conference!

Thank you for registering your interest in receiving the 8th National Housing Conference e-updates.

AHURI and Housing SA are very pleased to be working together to host the 8th National Housing Conference and we look forward to welcoming you to Adelaide in October.

This year's conference will take place at the Adelaide Convention Centre from Wednesday 30 October – Friday 1 November.

We are pleased to announce the theme for the 8th National Housing Conference—a new way home. The housing industry is facing a critical juncture in 2013. The federal election, review of the National Affordable Housing Agreement, new national agreement on Homelessness, new National Disability Insurance Scheme and launch of a National Regulatory Framework for not-for-profit providers are all taking place against a backdrop of continued housing undersupply and affordability problems. These events mark 2013 as a particularly critical moment in time and the 2013 National Housing Conference is perfectly timed to provide the opportunity for all housing industry sectors to come together to chart a new way home.

Thank you to the Australian Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs who are once again joining us as our major sponsor.

Registration is open and if you require accommodation, special rates have been secured to suit all budgets at a number of properties conveniently located within walking distance of the conference venue.

Our official welcome reception will be held on the Wednesday evening at Regattas Bistro + Bar on the banks of the beautiful River Torrens. Join colleagues and friends at this special event to celebrate the achievements made by all of you over the past year. One ticket to the reception is included in all conference registrations. However, if you’d like to bring a guest, feel free. Additional tickets can be purchased from our website.

Program planning is progressing well and a call for abstracts will be announced in the next few weeks. If you’d like to know more, contact the events team.

Thank you again for your interest in the 8th National Housing Conference.
