Are evidence-informed approaches for course renewal of interest to you? Would you like to discuss course reflection and evaluation approaches with your colleagues?

Course Convenors have a leadership role in enabling a continuous process for enhancing the quality of their course in collaboration with their teaching team. This can be enabled by critically reflecting on current evaluation practices; planning and implementing course evaluation strategies; collecting, analysing and interpreting evaluation data; and making evidence-informed plans for renewing future iterations of the course.

This interactive workshop will enable Course Convenors and colleagues to explore ideas and practices related to:

  • reflecting critically on course evaluation practices
  • analysing and interpreting course evaluation data related to your context
  • designing a context-specific course enhancement plan
  • collaborating with the teaching team to facilitate shared understandings and practices related to course evaluation

This workshop supports the development of the following Course Convenor capabilities as described in the Griffith Learning and Teaching Capabilities Framework:

  • Applying a scholarly model of critical reflection to your course learning and teaching practices and teaching team practices in collaboration with the teaching team
  • Applying a scholarly evaluation cycle to your course learning and teaching practices and teaching team practices in collaboration with the teaching team
  • Conducting scholarly learning and teaching inquiries

This workshop is designed for Course Convenors and colleagues supporting course design and development.
