As university educators and practitioners, we all aim to support our students to achieve to their full potential, valuing their diverse backgrounds and ensuring they can participate fully in university learning experiences.

We invite you to join our guest, Associate Professor Amani Bell (IRU Vice Chancellors’ Fellow), along with a panel of esteemed Griffith colleagues to discuss the multi-faceted nature of diversity, equity and inclusion in learning and teaching during a ‘Q&A’ style interactive panel session.

About the Panel Session

During the session, panellists will share their experiences and respond to questions posed by audience members in the room and online regarding culturally-responsive, sustainable and equitable teaching practices that nurture inclusive learning environments and support the learning of diverse student populations in various university learning contexts.

You will have the opportunity during the session to engage in discussions and pose questions such as:

  • How do I develop supportive and equitable learning environments that recognise, respect and engage a diverse range of learners?
  • What inclusive teaching practices would help students with diverse backgrounds to feel valued and able to fully participate in learning?
  • How might I incorporate differentiated learning and teaching approaches to foster student learning in my context?

Prior to the session, all members of our learning and teaching community are welcome to submit questions or comments relating to diversity, equity and inclusion in learning and teaching using the button below. We welcome your input and thank you for your contribution and/or questions in advance!
