Honorable Justin Siberell, U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain,
recently concluded a visit to the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company
(GPIC) where Bilateral Chamber Board Member & GPIC President, Dr.
Abdulrahman Jawahery, received the Ambassador and his delegation,
apprising them of GPIC's operations, production and exports, and its
numerous achievements in the fields of safety, quality and environmental
protection.
Additionally, Dr.
Jawahery briefed Ambassador Siberell on the Bilateral Chamber's upcoming
TEACH mission to Bahrain. |

Nobel Prize Awarded to Bilateral Chamber Member
MD Anderson, Immunologist Jim Allison, P.h.D.
Jim Allison, Ph.D., Chair of Immunology and Executive Director of the Immunotherapy Platform at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, has been awarded the 2018 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for launching an effective new way to attack cancer by treating the immune system rather than the tumor. Allison is the first MD Anderson scientist to receive the world’s most preeminent award for outstanding discoveries in the fields of life sciences and medicine.
Congratulations to Dr. Allison and the entire MD Anderson family on this
remarkable achievement.

Bilateral Chamber Member Premier Oil Field Group
Gears up for 2018 ADIPEC
In the Middle East, Premier has worked for most of the NOCs and many of the independent or other international operators ranging from North Africa (Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Tunisia) to the Gulf (Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the UAE). Premier has maintained the exclusive agency for the UAE that COREX held with
Al Mansoori Specialized Engineering.
Premier will be at the Al Mansoori stand during the 2018 Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC). The show, hosted by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) this November, is expected to welcome more than 100,000 attendees.
