Last week I
said I was looking forward to our AGM
and Luncheon on 20 June. The nearly 300
of you who attended the luncheon know
that we had a very successful event with
our Guest of Honour, Mr. Heng
Swee Keat, Deputy Prime Minister and
Minister for Finance. Many
thanks to all our

sponsor and main sponsors and to
each one of you who attended for your
support.
The AGM marked another
transition in the life of Singapore’s
longest-serving, independent business
association.
Mr. Per Magnusson, Executive
Vice Chairman, Jebsen & Jessen Pte Ltd
was elected Chairman.
Mr. Uttam
Kripalani, Chairman, Galaxy Insurance
Consultants Pte Ltd was elected First
Deputy Chairman and Mr. Martin Hayes,
Regional President South East Asia,
Robert Bosch (SEA) Pte Ltd was elected
Second Deputy Chairman.

Just to prove how international our
Chamber is, a recently arrived Armenian
senior executive asked me at lunch if
there were any other Armenians in the
room. I was delighted to be able to
