Creative Journeys is a remarkable line-up of artists-in-residence who guide kids in exploring their inner talents and expressing themselves. Jews have been seeking comfort for thousands of years. Many stopped seeking when they found kugel. It’s a taste of childhood, whether enjoyed as a weekly Sabbath treat or an annual holiday side dish. African Heritage Celebration 6th Annual Dinner & Silent Auction

Friday, June 22, 6-9pm at the Hyatt Regency Denver

An annual celebration/fundraiser to benefit educational programs in Senegal. Performance by The Griot Masters Ensemble of Colorado and guest artists. Tickets $30 in advance; $40 at the door. Table reservations are available. Contact Mohamadou at (720) 732-4638.

Painting with Boris Shoshensky

Well-known master painter and professor Boris Shoshensky teaches concepts and techniques for all levels. Summer classes held on Wednesday afternoons. To register email Tia or call (303) 749-5018.

Restorative Hatha Yoga

Enjoy a gentle, restorative yoga class in the peaceful, inspiring setting of Mizel Museum's exhibit. Classes are held on Wednesdays from 4:30-6:00pm. Price per class is $18; pay at the door.

Jewish Meditation with Rabbi Stephen Booth Nadav

Sundays, June 10 & 24, 4:30-6pm

Meditation is the practice of making ordinary moments sacred, or finding the sacred in the ordinary. Join Rabbi Steve to develop the skills of Jewish mindfulness including meditation instruction, chanting, walking, Torah and text study. Drop-in class; donations accepted.
