FM Day Tour and Social
Please SAVE THE DATE to celebrate FM Day on Wednesday, May 16th! Our Chapter will be touring The Chesterfield, 701 W Main St, Durham, NC 27701 beginning at 4:00PM followed by a social at a location to be determined.
Originally constructed in 1948, The Chesterfield served as a cigarette manufacturing factory for the Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company. Located in the Brightleaf district, and vacant since 1999, the Chesterfield was redeveloped in 2017 by Wexford. The Chesterfield is a 286,000 square foot historic redevelopment featuring office, lab, technology, and retail space. In addition, the building features a central atrium to serve as a convening place for new ideas and collaboration. Tenants include Duke University, NC Biolabs, Nutanix, and Validic. Justin Parker, Director of Development for Wexford, will lead the tour.
PARKING: Use the parking deck for The Chesterfield located at 704 W. Pettigrew Street, which is about a block from the building. The gates will be open on the afternoon of 4/16 so that tour participants can get in and out without paying.
Special thanks to the below companies for sponsoring the FM Day Social!

March Madness Recap
The year’s March Madness event was a success. We had a great turnout at the event and 44 brackets purchased!
The cornhole tournament consisted of 12 teams with double elimination and despite the windy conditions all teams enjoyed the competition. A special shout out to our Winners Russell Gonzales and David Stines who went undefeated through the tournament. All that attended enjoyed good food and networking.
The best part is that we raised a grand total of $960.00 for the Boys and Girls Club.
Special thanks to the below sponsors of the event:
We hope that you will join us next year to make the March Madness Community Outreach Event more successful than ever!
